Claude Thibierge's Oath of Office

A former president of the Paris Chamber of Notaries, Claude Thibierge built the firm that bears his name and actively contributed to the legislative work that accompanied France's reconstruction after the Second World War. He was behind the creation of the vente en état futur d'achèvement (VEFA, the French off-plan sale system), the Scrivener Act, the 1965 law on co-ownership, and the current land registration system.
